Become a Desider beta tester
Desider is the Desi lens on food. We rate every dish on the menu, not just the restaurant, so you know exactly where to find the one you love, at its best. It’s in early Android testing right now, and you can be one of the first in.
Join on your Android phone
Two steps, about a minute, and it’s free. Join the group first, then install.
How to join (about a minute)
- Join the tester group — Tap "Join the tester group" above and join with the Google account on your phone. This is what makes you an authorized tester — do it first.
- Install from Google Play — Once you've joined the group, tap "Install on Google Play" and install Desider like any other app. (If Play says you're not a tester, give it a minute after joining the group, then retry.)
- Set up your taste — Open the app, sign up, and pick your heritage, spice level, and dietary preferences. Add a couple of cravings.
- Stay in for 2 weeks — Please keep the app installed and stay in the tester group for 14 days. That window is a Google requirement for us to launch publicly, so staying in genuinely helps.
What you’re helping test
Search a dish (try “biryani”) and see how the community rates it near you, browse restaurants around you, and chat with the in-app food guide (“best butter chicken near me”). Tell us anything that feels broken, slow, or confusing. Every note shapes what launches.
On iPhone?
The iOS beta isn’t open yet. Desider is launching first on Android across Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, with iOS to follow.
